Following her undergraduate experience, Maddie will pursue both a master’s and doctoral degree in Community & Extension Education in hopes to fulfill her college’s mission of “sustaining life.” As a life-long 4-H member, Maddie developed a passion for youth development and learned the importance of youth involvement within communities. Her rural background has instilled a fondness for rural societies and how they function, leading her to focus her research on youth development in rural communities. As a professional, Maddie will work as a county 4-H Youth Development Extension Educator with plans to rise to the administrative level. Outside of the classroom, Maddie loves hiking, hunting, and generally being outdoors. She has a passion for performing arts and vocal performance - you can occasionally find her at the Ohio Theater catching a show every other month. Her friends and family are what mean the most to her, and her favorite hobby is being a role model and resource to first-generation students and youth across Ohio.
