Fay Dahir is passionate about improving conditions and outcomes for the communities that she belongs to. Outside of her studies, she is currently on the executive board of the Muslim Students Association, serves as a campus tour guide with the University Ambassador program, and works as a mentor for refugee and immigrant youth seeking higher education with RefugeOSU. After graduation, she plans to pursue a PhD in sociology, with a specific research interest in refugee resettlement and the migrant experience. She intends to teach at the Ohio State University one day. In her free time, Fatima likes to hang out at the Columbus Metropolitan Library and spend time with her three sisters.
