Greetings!

I would like to introduce myself to those that I have not yet had the pleasure to meet. My name is Rob Jech, and I have had the distinct pleasure to serve the Office of Student Life and Buckeye Leadership Fellows as the Interim Director since February. I’ve worked at The Ohio State University, in the Department of Recreational Sports since 2004. Much of my time in Rec Sports has been dedicated to operations, staff training and leadership development. My wife Erin and I are proud parents of Peyton (7 years old) and Hudson (21 months) and reside in Grove City, Ohio.

This semester has been a whirlwind. We have we proudly welcomed our 6th Cohort, rejoiced in having Sarah Mangia, Program Manager, return from maternity leave, and celebrated the graduation of our 4th Cohort of students. While I have always admired this program from across campus, and known many Fellows, I am continually awestruck by the talent and capacity of our students and the investment of our donors, supporters, and partners. From my perspective of working on this campus for a number of years, I can assure you this is the preeminent leadership experience at Ohio State.

While I have had the opportunity connect with many of you during my time with BLF, I would like to extend the invitation to connect or re-connect in meaningful ways this summer; either over the phone or in person. I deeply value the interactions I have had with you thus far, and look forward to our continued work together to provide an extraordinary experience for our fellows.

Best wishes on an enjoyable and relaxing summer.

Sincerely,
Rob
