Letter to a Mentor-Henry Wu

Dear Professor Baum
Thank you for your support and guidance throughout my college journey. Since taking your course on civil liberties my second year, I’ve been grateful to have had you as my mentor. Over the last year, I’ve appreciated our weekly thesis meetings, both chatting as well as discussing research.
More generally, I’ve learned how to approach the world from the perspective of a social scientist — careful, patient, and analytical. For someone interested in a career in the law, these are useful traits. In the past few years, you have challenged me, encouraged me, and supported me. You’ve helped me define my own values and sharpen my convictions. I thank you for your patience and generosity.
