Concluding their Experience - Senior Cohort begins Capstone Leadership Challenge
February 4, 2015
To conclude their final semester in the Buckeye Leadership Fellows Program (and perhaps as students at The Ohio State University) the senior cohort of Fellows is charged with creating and executing a project that solves a specific problem facing the Ohio State or Columbus community.
Projects may be connected to a future business venture, a legacy they wish to leave on the Columbus or campus community, or a social issue impacting one of their communities. Fellows will work independently or in small teams, use the knowledge gained in their academic courses, the resources they have in their personal networks, and the talents of those around them to offer a solution to their problem.
To support their work, Fellows will engage in the following workshop topics – facilitated by alumni, program partners, and supporters:
- Entrepreneurship 101
- The Columbus Entrepreneurial Ecosystem
- Taking Initiative & Failing Forward
- IDEO: Human Centered Design (3-part workshop)
- Strategic Planning
- Effective Pitches & Presentations
- Pitch & Funding Day
Additionally, each Fellow or team of Fellows will be assigned a challenge mentor to guide their work throughout March and April 2015.
Final presentations will be delivered in late-April 2015.
