October 2, 2020

On Thursday, September 4th, a team of ten BLF ‘21 fellows presented to challenge partner, Columbus Crew.

“This really is a treasure chest of information,” Tim Bezbatchenko, former soccer player and current President of the Columbus Crew commends, “It doesn’t matter if you’re a player or a student, you have to be able to deliver in a way that’s professional and organized, collectively aligned, [and have] the ability to answer questions—even virtually, I think you guys have done a tremendous job”.

Connor Rash of BLF ‘21, shares “Working with the Crew has been an invaluable experience for all of our Fellows. As a client, the Crew organization has been energized and focused on their personal brand development to build an engaged college student soccer audience in Columbus. I can’t wait to see the effects of our recommendations as the club works towards this goal and can capitalize on engagement with students in our community”.

“The Columbus Crew was one of the best partners I’ve had the opportunity to work with. They were genuinely intrigued by our work throughout the process and their clearly evident enthusiasm and constant involvement really helped fuel our team. We could always count on them to respond promptly to our questions and to share reliable data and metrics as per our requirements. This made it really easy for us to breakdown their pain points and make creative and effective recommendations,” presenter Kritagya Arora of BLF ‘21 reflects.

Former team physician and current co-owner of the Columbus Crew, Dr. Peter Edwards concludes, “On behalf of the team, this has been a fabulous experience for us and we’re glad to hear that the students thought this was a good real-world experience. This information has been super helpful and we are proud to be associated with Ohio State and look forward to continuing this, and many other relationship with the university going forward”.
