Favorite Quote: “Nobody is who you think they are at first glance. We need to see beyond the projections we cast onto each other. Each of us is so much grander, more nuanced, and more extraordinary than anybody thinks, including ourselves.” Clementine Wamariya, “The Girl Who Smiled Beads”

Through her studies of the academic theories and objective realities of public service, Maya is learning how to create positive change in society, a tool she will use in her future career. Maya’s passion is advocating against religious, racial, and gender discrimination and is pursuing a career in political nonprofit management to rally communities in support of justice and cooperation. In her free time, Maya enjoys political volunteering, reading any book she can get her hands on, and playing with her dog, Lucy.
