Title: Interim Chief of Communications and Marketing at Mount Holyoke College
Elizabeth Conlisk has a history of achievement in high-profile college and university settings, directing and developing strategic communications programs and broad education initiatives. Currently, she is the Interim Chief of Communications and Marketing at Mount Holyoke College. There, she leads the College’s strategic communications efforts, including brand management and marketing, media relations, web communications and digital and social media. She also works with the president, executive officers and other campus leaders to set policy and manage issues.
Previously, Conlisk was part of the core leadership team launching the Big Ten Network, the first internationally distributed conference-owned network, which was widely credited with changing the intercollegiate sports television landscape. She spent nine years there, developing and leading the initial communications strategy that helped the network achieve widespread distribution and maintaining close collaborations with Big Ten universities in order to manage their relationships with the network. Conlisk was one of the network’s first 10 employees.
Before joining BTN, Conlisk was the special assistant to the president for executive communications at Ohio State, where she collaborated with the president of one of the nation’s largest universities in managing high-profile projects, strategic partnerships and external communications. She also was Ohio State’s assistant vice president for media relations, serving as the university’s top media strategist and directing a team to handle proactive news media outreach and crisis communications.
