For the last two years we have been offering students a unique opportunity to have casual conversations with business and community leaders from around Columbus and beyond. Hundreds of Ohio State students have participated in these lunchtime conversations along with dozens of leaders. The casual setting leads to more meaningful dialogue and helps create an opportunity to build a relationship into the future.
We limit the student audience per speaker to twelve students to encourage conversation.
Please join us in welcoming the 2015-2017 Class of Buckeye Leadership Fellows, the Office of Student Life’s signature leadership development experience. These 22 students from across campus represent our 5th class. Over 100 sophomores applied for the opportunity to become a Buckeye Leadership Fellow.
We are pleased to share with you an overview of our progress and achievements as we close on another year of the Office of Student Life’s Buckeye Leadership Fellows Program (BLF).
The momentum of what has become the Office of Student Life’s signature professional development experience continues at an impressive pace.
BLF will host OSU Trustee and CEO of Battelle, Dr. Jeff Wadsworth, on April 7th. Student Leaders across campus have been invited to attend. Email email@example.com with any questions.
Jeff Wadsworth was appointed to the board by Governor Strickland in June 2010. He has been President and CEO of Battelle Memorial Institute since January 2009. Battelle is the world’s largest nonprofit research and development organization, executing about $6.5B of work annually and employing about 22,500 people.
OSU Employees can support the BLF Program through their campus campaign gifts!
BLF is going global!
Members of the BLF senior class will be traveling to India to experience their BLF Senior Capstone Trip. This trip will primarily address our last of 14 Core Skills: Cultural Understanding. We believe that immersive experiences such as this serve as a powerful learning experience for our next generation of world leaders. Students will gather new insights, become global citizens, and experience the world from a different perspective.
These unique and powerful opportunities would not be possible without your support of the Buckeye Leadership Fellows Program.
