Buckeye Leadership Fellows Program

And We’re Off- A Welcome Back Blog for the Semester

September 1, 2017 by Staff

Buckeye Leadership Fellows are starting off the semester strong! The fellows kicked off the semester with a Welcome Back Social which provided a great opportunity to reminisce on summer experiences and get excited about the upcoming school year.

The cohort has also had the pleasure of hosting two guest speakers thus far- Paul Reeder, Executive Director for the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, as well as Dr. Amy Barnes, Assistant Professor and Director of the Ed.D Program in the College of Education and Human Ecology. Thank you to our speakers for your impressive contributions to the program.

There are a few highlights for the semester to keep an eye out for!

  • Class of 2020 recruitment is coming up fast. The application opens on September 6th and we are hosting BLF Info Sessions on Monday, Sep. 11th and Monday Sep. 25th at 4:30 PM in Mendenhall Lab 191.
  • BLF has two cohort members on Homecoming court this semester- Jeff Rolland and Bryan Barrett, congratulations to them!
  • On October 30th-31st our BLF class of ’18 will be traveling to New York City to present their final presentations for their Meredith Publishing Leadership Challenge.
  • Our second year cohort members are completing their capstone projects this fall as part of their last semester in the program. There will be a Capstone showcase on Tuesday, November 28th and 4:00 PM in the US Bank Conference Theater.

We are looking forward to a great semester.
